Walk, Don’t Run!

#175 There is something beautiful about a frosty morning – admittedly I feel that more keenly now that I no longer need to de-ice my car for work! Breathing in the cool air can be breath-taking though, as can hearing your feet crunch through the frosty grass. After getting a reputation for literally running everywhere last term and almost being late for everything because I was trying to fit too much in, I’m really trying to slow things down. Walking rather than running has been the start of this, but also living in the moment and taking time to see and hear the little things. It’s a discipline that is so difficult when there is much to achieve, but when it is realised, I notice so much more. Perhaps I even come across as slightly more approachable as well! God Is Great

#89 “O give me life in your ways.” #psalm119v37 God is great, as is his creation…retreating back to the beauty of that is life-giving and awe-inspiring. #retreat

Great Is The Lord

#88 “#greatisthelord and highly to be praised; his greatness is beyond all searching out.” God can be found in so much beauty around us…in the vast expanse and in the smaller things. In the generous gift from a neighbour and in the kind word from a stranger. #godwithskinon #godinnature (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)

Autumn

#75 #autumn is here, the time where trees shed their leaves, rich colours can be seen and nature takes a well earned rest! #godinnature (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)

Look for Beauty

#36 #seeingclearly – our eyes do not see what is in front of us, and sometimes we stop ourselves from seeing what we do not want to see. Sometimes we do not give ourselves space and time to see beauty around us, love for us or justice/injustice next to us. What are you not seeing today? #morningprayer #mark8v22to26 (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)
