The Shema

#96 #theshema or #thegreatcommand tells us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your might” but what does that look like? How can that be captured in a few words or even a picture? Loving with all you have is a vast love indeed…as vast as the sky perhaps. Even with that though I wonder what it looks like in everyday life, in practice through your words and deeds? #vastlove #godwithskinon #goldenrule #treatothershowyouwanttobetreated (at Thame, Oxon)

Ongoing Creation

#94 I’ve been thinking about the #godthecreator today and the idea that creation is a continual process. Generally we think of an event as having a starting point and an ending point. What about the idea that God is creating each day within us and through us…

See The Extraordinary in the Ordinary

#93 #teaandsympathy This week I’ve been led to think about the Holy Spirit allowing us to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. #gobetweengod Tea can be a lovely way to catch up but it can also be an opportunity for us to take time and stop, either with someone, or alone, and just be…so that we can leave space for God. May The Lord Protect You

#92 What is #home? When does it feel like you are home? Is it people? Pets? A comfy sofa? Slippers perhaps? Getting home after a lovely weekend away, it was lovely to be greeted by Nellie and Trixie. Home is usually a #safespace but that can change with the introduction of an unfamiliar item can cause #conflict It is important to protect that safe space…today I #pray for all people who do not have a safe space or a home. May the Lord protect them and keep them safe and warm. (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)

#91 There is something incredible about the way in which the sea washes away the imprints on the sand and makes it new the next time the tide goes out. It is much like #wipingtheslateclean only better…salt water is #cleansing and #healing so not only do mistakes disappear but we come back from them cleansed and with a greater understanding…perhaps even a #betterversionofourselves #thanksbetogod (at Hells mouth Abersoch)

Footprints In The Sand

#90 A reminder of #footprints: When a man asked God why there was only one set of footprints during the times in his life when things were most difficult, God said, “it was then that I carried you”. #godprotects (at Hells mouth Abersoch)

God Is Great

#89 “O give me life in your ways.” #psalm119v37 God is great, as is his creation…retreating back to the beauty of that is life-giving and awe-inspiring. #retreat

Great Is The Lord

#88 “#greatisthelord and highly to be praised; his greatness is beyond all searching out.” God can be found in so much beauty around us…in the vast expanse and in the smaller things. In the generous gift from a neighbour and in the kind word from a stranger. #godwithskinon #godinnature (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)

Faith Like a Mustard Seed

#87 The other day we we were thinking about times when our faith has been as small as a mustard seed, and what happened as a result. It is overwhelming to think what great things God can do with so little.
“For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” #matthew17v20 #havefaith (at Ripon College Cuddesdon)
